Final Fantasy XV
I finished Final Fantasy XV earlier this year. Rather than starting a fresh save like a normal person, I picked up my original 2016 save file which was already 12 hours into the game.
"That's it! I've come up with a new recipe" - Ignis
That phrase has stuck with me for the past nine years even though I had only played 12 hours of this game. So that was probably the main driving factor to finish this game and put that quote to bed.
Boys on a road trip remains a top tier concept for a video game.
What's better than this? Guys being dudes.
Sitting around the camp fire on Coleman branded chairs, eating the most delicious looking food was somehow equally immersive and hilarious. They really did Ignis dirty and I was to believe he recovered from his... injury.
The entire Lunafreya storyline was poorly handled. Considering the meandering pace of the open world game, she barely factored into my playthrough. The game was far more about fishing, camping, and hunting with the boys than some kind of arranged marriage (at least I think that's what was happening, I don't remember).
As someone who has loves the aesthetics of Final Fantasy games, I'm glad I made the time to revisit this game. It has it's flaws, but it was still very fun to play. It actually made me want to get back into Final Fantasy XIV (Online) for some reason... Probably the fashion!
