Homeownership

Hey. It's been a while. This year hasn't given me a lot of time for Video Games (yet). My wife and I bought a house and are currently in the process of selling the apartment which is taking up A LOT of time.

While the bigger space will mean more cleaning and maintenance, it also means I get to start living my best Stardew Valley life out in the garden which is very exciting. Winter is almost over and spring is right around the corner! Can't wait to plant tomatoes and chillis and herbs and roses!

The other reason I haven't been blogging lately is because I have found another outlet for writing: Journaling.

The Journal app just appeared on my iPhone at the start of the year and I thought it might be a fun idea to keep track of a few weekly highlights. So every Sunday night at 6pm I get a little notification saying it's time to start writing. I write a couple of short paragraphs, add a handful of photos, and carry on with my evening.

Journaling is new to me. I had considered it in the past, but was just too lazy to start. Now that it's right there on my iPhone, gently prodding me every week for a few words, I have no excuses.

Now that I have a weekly captains log from this year, it's super cool to look back at the photos and see what was on my mind at the time. Plus it's been a good way to scratch the writing itch without having to dedicate a ton of time and thought to it (like I'm doing right now).

With all that said, I'm really looking forward to Star Wars Outlaws. I have even preordered it, something I haven't done since Elden Ring! I realise it will likely just be a middling Ubisoft open world checklist game with a Star Wars flavour, but that's exactly what I need right now.

So to summarise my coming months will look something like this: Gardening, Star Wars Outlaws, Warhammer 40k (now that I have space to finally use the airbrush). Let's hope it all goes to plan!
